Jake, Nick, and Peter are best friends. They love football and they play in the same club. Jake and Nick are going to move to the first league. They are so excited! They start on the bench in the first two matches, but Jake does not get to play much in the first match. And when there is only ten minutes left of the second match, he still has yet to play. That is when Jake makes a big decision.

Jake and his friends have formed their own team, FC Mezzi. We follow their training matches, tournaments and old and new friendships. There is even a little bit about love.

Daniel Zimakoff was born in 1956 and he is an educated librarian. Since his debut in 1980 he has written a long line of children‘s books and he has even received the Children‘s Book Award from the ministry of culture.
