Bill Bryson, født 1951 i Iowa, USA, er fagbogsforfatter. Gennem årene har Bill Bryson skrevet adskillige bøger om mange forskellige emner, bl.a. rejsebøger og bøger om sprog, han fik dog først sit gennembrud i 2000 med EN KORT HISTORIE OM NÆSTEN ALT, der forklarer naturvidenskabelige problemstillinger i et letforståeligt sprog. I 2009 udkom den i en børnevenlig version med titlen EN MEGET KORT HISTORIE OM NÆSTEN ALT.
